Tree Craft was established in 1990 as an arboricultural contracting business by Andrew Cowan. The business grew steadily with the support of an expanding customer base and became a limited company in 1994. At the same time, Andrew started providing a consultancy service under the business name of A. Cowan & Co. (ACC). Initially providing a broad range of arboricultural advice ACC developed naturally towards a more holistic and ecologically philosophical bias, and the company ArborEcology Ltd was formed in 2002.
In 2004, Tree Craft Ltd merged with another company, Arragon Tree Care, whose proprietors Richard Arnold and Russell Coombs became joint directors with Andrew Cowan. This move was undertaken to ensure Tree Craft Ltd stays at the forefront of its field, able to consistently perform in an increasingly competitive industry.
Also in 2004, Richard and Russell created another company, Arborcraft Training Ltd, a specialist outfit designed to provide clients with tailor-made courses and high quality, up-to-the-minute training in practical arboriculture.
Tree Craft Ltd is now one of the pioneering contract companies in the new area of environmental arboriculture. The contract range includes: domestic gardens; residential and commercial development; woodland management; transport infrastructure; building and maintenance projects, and cases where specialist skills are needed for trees with particular habitat value such as ancient or veteran specimens.
Tree Craft Ltd is committed to Continued Professional Development (CPD) to ensure all those that work for and in association with the company are familiar with the most up to date arboricultural techniques and latest research. The company is also working towards Arboricultural Association Approved status, performing contracts to the highest standard. |
