Tree Craft Ltd. is an established company, which has been operating in the arboricultural industry since 1990 (see Company Profile). Under the guidance of it’s founder Andrew Cowan N.D.Arb. Tech.Cert.(Arbor.A) the company has developed an ecological bias and is one of the pioneers in environmental arboriculture.
Working in close association with ArborEcology Ltd, Tree Craft Ltd now specialises in commercial arboriculture contracts where contractors have to be ecologically aware. Our arborists are trained to inspect tree features for bats and undertake dismantling work under license from English Nature.
Trees are an integral part of our environment and provide an important habitat for a large proportion of our native flora and fauna. Some of these species, like dormice, bats and birds, are protected by legislation. This can place restrictions on the timing of work and the methods used.
Rare and protected species of flora and fauna are becoming increasingly important at every level of development, from residential housing schemes to large scale road building. When tendering, the environmental record of contractors can be a material consideration and could significantly influence the decision process.
